In recent years, there has been an increasing demand for information that allows patients to correctly judge the benefits and risks of pharmaceuticals from a scientific and medical perspective. As a result, the importance of product life cycle management (LCM) to increase the product value of pharmaceuticals and the creation of evidence that contributes to the appropriate use of pharmaceuticals is increasing.
The purpose of establishing the Medical Science Office is to further expand support for medical care from a scientific perspective, thereby improving the risk-benefit balance for patients and contributing to maximizing product value. Specifically, in response to medical needs, we plan and support various information creation activities such as LCM, clinical research, and post-marketing surveillance from a scientific perspective, and provide support from a scientific perspective for the creation of data and evidence to be used in product education and sales promotion materials, and for the communication of such information.
